Greenstone Manaia Pendant

Hand carved in Aotearoa, New Zealand with beautiful Kahurangi Pounamu from the West Coast of the South Island.

The word Manaia means 'Mana' or prestige and power. It is traditionally depicted with the head of a bird, the body of a man and he tail of a fish, representing sky, earth and sea. A Manaia protects it's wearer from Evil.
